This includes our continued investment in cutting-edge research and development, seeking novel approaches to tackle complex issues such as water waste management, and elimination of single use plastic.
One remarkable milestone is our foray into the world of biopolymers, specifically compostable plastics. This expansion is a result of our decade long partnership with DRDO. We are one of the few license holders to commercially produce compostable biopolymers. It not only aligns with our commitment to environmental stewardship but also positions Banka Bio as a frontrunner in sustainable materials production.
Banka Bio's commitment to growth and sustainability extends to our core operations as well. We have implemented robust sustainable practices throughout our supply chain, reducing our carbon footprint and minimising environmental impact. These efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles and responsible corporate citizenship.
As we gather at this AGM, I invite you all to envision the exciting future we are building together. Today we are launching a pledge: Say no to single use plastic.
Recognising the environmental and social impacts of single-use plastics, we wholeheartedly pledge to eliminate their use within our operations and champion a plastic-free future.
